The name of our stone-ground, corn cakes comes from the old days when people cooked on a cast-iron kettle over a fire. The kettle, made with legs, would straddle the fire and had an uncanny resemblance to the infamous arachnid. We thought we’d show some appreciation of our hard-working ancestors by naming our mix after this time-honored cooking method. Can be used to make corn muffins, bread, cakes, and more.
